Monday Morning Motivation – "Of"
(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Here is the deal. Every single one of us is going to face challenges in our lives. They may be personal, professional or spiritual – which one is not important. What is important is to realize that life is full of challenges.
What is important is how you face and deal with these challenges.
There have been times in my life when I was flat out not happy. Things in certain parts of my life were not like I wanted them to be and I let it affect my mental outlook. And that affected my family and friends. Not pretty. That is because I fell into the “because of” trap. I was NOT happy “because of” something external to me.
Ever try and control something outside yourself? How’s that working out for you? Didn’t think it was going so well.
The reality is we choose the mental outlook we have. We choose the life we have. If you have any doubts about this, I would encourage you to pick up a copy of Victor Frankl’s book “Man’s Search for Meaning”. In it, Frankl describes in horrifying detail what life was like inside a German concentration camp. Perhaps the most egregious of all human conditions. And “in spite of” this, Frankl found a way to maintain his positive outlook on life And that allowed him to live a life of meaning.
How does your life compare to that of Frankl’s? if you’re reading this, I KNOW the answer to that. And I would venture to say that Frankl was more satisfied with his life, more alive, and lived with more meaning than many, many of us.
So that brings us to the question of the week. Please take this one seriously. If you do, it can have a massive impact on your personal, professional and spiritual life. I know. Because I’ve made the wrong choice in the past and have experienced the pain first hand:
- Are you in an “in spite of” or a “because of” life?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.
