Monday Morning Motivation – Choice

(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Choice

Perhaps the biggest gift that we have been given is free will.  The gift of choice.

No matter the situation that we face – good or bad – we have the ability to choose what to make of it.

Viktor Frankl has to be at the top of the list of candidates for “best use of choice”.  Frankl’s book “Man’s Search for Meaning” recounts his experience in a Nazi concentration camp.  In the midst of death and immeasurable cruelty, Frankl developed his theory of “logotherapy”.  He postulated that our basic drive in life is NOT that of pleasure.  Rather, he suggested that our drive is to identify and pursue that which we find personally meaningful.

He CHOSE to develop this theory AND practice it, in the midst of conditions that I doubt any of those reading this will ever have to face.

There is absolutely no doubt we will face tough times as we go through life.  The question is how we will deal with those tough times.

That brings me to this week’s question:

•    Is there a choice that you need to make in your life?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.

Curt

Blog post from this past week:

At F5 Financial Planning we focus on helping individuals and families find balance between faith, friends and family, fitness and finance.  We make sure that they have the financial freedom to enjoy those things in life that are important to them.  And while we believe the left-brain facts and data are critical; we work with our clients to get them in the right state of mind to focus on the goals they want to achieve.
