Monday Morning Motivation – Development

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
Development
There’s an old saying that we’re either growing or dying. I buy into this 99.999%.
We are NOT (in my opinion) made to sit still and do nothing. Instead, we are wired to learn new things, grow as individuals, and live a life full of experiences. Growing requires stepping out of our comfort zones; and, yes, growing pains ARE real. As we step out of the comfort zone, by definition there will be discomfort and often times short-term pain.
However, the long-term gain that comes through pursuing a path of development is incredibly enjoyable. For some, the development focuses on professional endeavors. For others, personal endeavors. Others focus on spiritual endeavors. The specific focus is NOT important. What is important is that we grow and avoid stagnation.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Are you growing or dying?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
