Monday Morning Motivation – Volunteer

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
Volunteer
Monday through Friday is called the “work week” in recognition that the majority of our time on these days is invested in work. Unfortunately, after we spend so much time at work, many of us have little time left to volunteer. That is a shame.
While work is essential to our financial well-being, for many it does not provide the appropriate amount of satisfaction. That is because many work for the dollar as opposed to working on their passions. While this is a pragmatic reality that many have to face, it does NOT preclude ANYONE from pursuing their passions.
Conversely, when most of us volunteer, we find that we do so with a smile on our face and joy in our heart. Volunteering is almost always associated with a passion or activity that we feel strongly about. Investing time volunteering rarely fills our pocketbook, but almost always fills us up emotionally. For that reason, I strongly believe that all of us should commit to volunteering on a regular basis.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Where would you most like to volunteer?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
Curt
About MMM: Each week I publish “Monday Morning Motivation” in the hopes that at least one person will find a bit of inspiration and that this inspiration will have a positive impact on their life. My motivation comes from experiences, reading, sermons, and discussions.
