Monday Morning Motivation – Synergy

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
Synergy
Synergy can best be described as “the sum is greater than the parts.” No doubt the skeptic who reads this is going to be thinking, “you don’t work with the same clowns I do, or you would NOT even think about synergy!”
Leveraging unique skill sets
Perhaps that is true. Or perhaps, the skeptic just has not realized how to best leverage their “local clown’s” unique skill set to tackle the task at hand. I am a firm believer that we get more done together than we do separately.
We all benefit from a diverse team with diverse skills.
I am NOT a Polyanna— working with others is very challenging and often difficult. However, NONE of us has abilities in all dimensions. We can ALL benefit from surrounding ourselves with a diverse team with diverse skills. Respecting our differences, leaning on each other, and working together can—and does—produce better results than working on our own.
The challenge: Dealing with the clowns
The challenge is, as the skeptics bring up, “dealing with the clowns.” I would argue that often—and I am at the top of this list—the “clown” is us!!! Self-sufficiency is taught to us from a young age as something to value. And I definitely respect and embrace the need for each of us to be a strong, independent individual.
Synergy: When healthy individuals work together
However, we are made to be in relationship with others. And synergy describes the magic that happens when healthy individuals come together to work together and tackle life’s challenges.
That brings us to this week’s question:
-
What are you doing to build synergy with those around you?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
Curt
