Monday Morning Motivation – Relax

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "relax."
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
Relax
I seriously doubt that in our lifetimes we will ever see another six months that compare with the craziness of the first half of 2020! Impeachment, Kobe Bryant, coronavirus, the presidential election, and race relations all emerged as major topics in the first six months.
With so much going on, it has made our already hectic lives even more hectic. However, there has been a silver lining. The virus has restricted us from some of the day-to-day activities that take a lot of our time. Working at home has saved on commuting. No sports has saved countless hours of watching or attending (although no March Madness and no Masters was hard!). Some have taken this free time and thrown themselves into work, social media, or some other passion.
We’ve taken the time freed up and tried to relax a bit. It’s been really, really hard! John Eldredge recently published a book called Get Your Life Back. In it, he highlights how the hectic pace has changed the way we live. He encourages folks to step back, unplug, enjoy nature, pause, pray, and generally slow down—Wise advise that I am working on each day.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Are you making time to relax?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
