Monday Morning Motivation – Vocation
Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
Vocation
Most likely, you're reading this on a Monday morning. And if you are, then chances are there are a few people around your workplace who wish they could turn back the clock 48 hours to enjoy the weekend a little longer and avoid doing "time" at work.
But, pause for a moment: Look closely, and you might notice something different. There are some people who are genuinely excited about the next five days. They are the ones who look forward to their work—who love what they do.
Are they strange? I don’t think so.
Here’s why:
They’ve found their calling. They’ve discovered work that feels meaningful and impactful—where they know they make a difference in the lives of others.
This isn’t just a job for them. It’s more than a paycheck or clocking in and out. It’s their vocation.
What’s the Difference?
- A job is something you do.
- A vocation is something you live.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Do you have a job or a vocation?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!

About MMM: Each week I publish “Monday Morning Motivation” in the hopes that at least one person will find a bit of inspiration and that this inspiration will have a positive impact on their life. My motivation comes from experiences, reading, sermons, and discussions.
