Monday Morning Motivation – Energetic

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "energetic."
Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.
Energetic
Whenever I spend time around kids, I’m always struck by how energetic they are—and, conversely, at how unenergetic most adults are.
A lot of people will immediately remark “that’s just a fact of age.” I disagree totally.
It’s a mindset thing.
No doubt, as we age, we certainly lose some of our energy. However, there are WAY too many folks in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s who are full of life and energy. And every person that I have met who is full of energy also possesses an incredible mindset. As Stephen Covey says:
- All things are created twice. First mentally then physically.
The next time you tackle a big work project (that will ultimately make things better), ask yourself, “If I approach this with a great mindset—and bring energy to the process—will it be more enjoyable?” It may be hard, and it may take focus, but being energetic with it likely will have a big payoff!
Ultimately, the degree of energy each of us possesses AND puts out comes down to a personal decision.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Are you going to choose to be energetic today?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
Curt
