Monday Morning Motivation – Discipline

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
Discipline
Fact: we cannot change the past. And yet many people spend countless hours fretting about the paths they have traveled down vis-à-vis the choices that they have made. These feelings of regret can often be brutal.
The antidote is to change the here and now. To focus on what you will do in the next moment. That requires discipline. Which can also feel brutal!
Jim Rohn said it well when he stated, “We must all face one of two pains, the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.” I reflect on this quote often as (i) it is incredibly powerful, and (ii) I continually make the wrong choices and need continual reminders! Repetition is a necessary evil if we want to learn new things, grow as individuals, and live a fuller life.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Are you going to choose discipline or regret?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
Curt
