Monday Morning Motivation – Transition
(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
Transition
Nothing is constant but change; and, as a result, we will continually face the issue of transitions. Some of the more common transitions include:
- Student to teacher
- Child to adult
- Single to married
- Working to retired
What is surprising is that many of the transitions that we face just happen as opposed to being planned.
Contrast that with the transitions we see in seasons, music, in books, in politics, or in movies. In each of these there is an “artist” of some sort that plans for the transitions. While the planned transitions may be more “idealized”, the reality is that they WERE planned; and, as a result, they tend to take place much more smoothly.
Life is certainly not easy. And it is not always possible to plan for the transitions that we face. Nevertheless, the reality is that when we fail to plan we often plan to fail.
That leads us to this week’s question:
- What will be your next transition?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.

At F5 Financial Planning we focus on helping individuals and families find balance between faith, friends and family, fitness and finance. We make sure that they have the financial freedom to enjoy those things in life that are important to them. And while we believe the left-brain facts and data are critical; we work with our clients to get them in the right state of mind to focus on the goals they want to achieve.
