Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement-along with a good cup of coffee!-to start the day. Today we discuss awe!

Awe

Some thoughts:

• In 1900 there were less than 10,000 cars registered in the US. Today there are over 200 MILLION vehicles registered in the US. Absolutely amazing.
• The earth is rotating at approximately 1,000 miles per hour.
• We are made up of 15 trillion cells.
• There are 1 billion trillion stars in the observable universe.

And with all of this-and so much more-things just "happen" in life, and it all just "works." The complexity of our existence is beyond comprehension-at least to me. Worse still, I rarely even think about the amazing nature of our existence. I just take it for granted.

I would argue that we take way too many things for granted, and, in so doing, we greatly under-appreciate the lives we have been blessed with. It is well worth the time-for each and every one of us-to step back and reflect on how amazing it is that we are able to enjoy the life that we do.

That brings us to this week's question:

• What are you in awe of in your life?
