At the core, endurance comes down to your mental outlook on things. Where do you need to improve your endurance?

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement-along with a good cup of coffee!-to start the day. Today we discuss "endurance".

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Endurance

Off and on, I've tried running over the years. However, I'm built for speed and not endurance. As a result, I get very frustrated that the results don't come as quickly as I would like.

How ironic, I'm frustrated that my efforts to build endurance physically are not coming quickly enough. I want the physical endurance, but I'm not willing to commit to the mental endurance!

Endurance is in some ways super easy and in other ways super hard. At the core, endurance comes down to your mental outlook on things. Taking the time to push through the pain/resistance barriers is "all" there is to increasing your endurance.

However, it is often the case that the physical sensations-be it muscle aches or heart aches-causes us to call off our efforts just a little too soon. Experience has taught me that if I can just hang in there for a few moments longer, I'll emerge stronger and better equipped for the next day. And that is a very good thing.

That brings us to this week's question:

  • Where do you need to improve your endurance?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.

Have a great week!

Curt
