Are you willing to take on the things in life that are hard?

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day.

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Hard

I used to work with a guy that liked to joke about life being full of "fat puppies and fluffy kitties." He didn't believe this for a moment, but instead used the imagery to suggest that the reality that many desire is absurd.

Life is NOT always easy. Nor should it be. Nor would I want it to be! If everything were simply given to us, we would never have the opportunity to learn, to grow, and to truly live life. Through the struggles we face, we become better. It's the hard times that make us who we are.

The challenge is that sometimes these hard times can seem impossible. They are not. They simply require that we take the next step—and have faith that those things necessary for the subsequent step will be there when we get there. I am NOT suggesting that we don't prepare for the journey; rather, I am suggesting that until we get to the actual moments in life, we never know what will be around us. We need to have faith that if we have properly prepared, it is safe—and wise—to take the next hard step.

That brings us to this week's question:

  • Are you willing to take on the things in life that are hard?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.

Have a great week!

Curt
