Monday Morning Motivation - Resilience
Are you using your mind to live a life of resilience?

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement-along with a good cup of coffee!-to start the day. Today we discuss "resilience".
Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.
Resilience
(Special note - Today's topic was motivated by my good friend Jared Angaza. He is the poster child for resilience!)
Certain words carry with them a connotation of strength. Resilience is one such word.
We are all going to face tough times and adversity. If you don't believe me just give it a bit longer in your life. You CANNOT live without encountering challenges - be they personal, professional, or spiritual.
What is so interesting to me is how some folks face big challenges and crumble, while others face similar challenges and THRIVE-seeming to come out of the tough times even stronger (albeit sometimes with a few scars/limps)!
The difference is resilience. It is that inner belief in yourself. It's that belief that you CAN and WILL overcome. I believe with all of my heart that HAVING this belief in your ability to overcome is all it takes to make resilience! This goes back to one of my all-time favorites from Steven Covey:
- All things are created twice. First mentally. Then physically.
If you buy into this, you are able to extract yourself from any situation by creating a new-and better -situation in your mind. Easy to say, hard to do-EXCEPT for those with resilience!
That brings me to this week's question:
- Are you using your mind to live a life of resilience?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
